I placed a 911 fire department call to Southaven, Ms Fire Department in January 2015. They took my wife to the emergency room due to a fall. I kept getting past due notices from these folks for $514.00. Correct insurance information was given to all concerned medical parties at the time of service. I spoke with these people multiple times and they said they had filed a claim but had not been paid. I spoke with this company again in March 2015 to inquire if the claim had been paid. The person answering the phone placed me on hold and in checking their records informed that she could not find my account so the claim must have been paid. I continued to receive bills from this collection agency. My insurance company, Blue Cross of Mississippi, said they had never received a claim. In the mean time I continued to receive claims from their collections department. I finally called Blue Cross again directly to determine what the problem was. Blue Cross said they had never received a claim. after explaining my problem to Blue Cross, the representative ask me to stand by while she called the Southaven Fire Department and the above billing company. Blue Cross determined that the billing company had transposed a number on my account and they never attempted to correct the ERROR? Blue Cross gave them the correct information and advised them that she would hold this account open for 7 days and if the claim had not been received she would call them back to see what the problem might be. About 10 days later Blue Cross called me and said I needed to speak with the service provider, Southaven Fire Department, and advise them this billing company still had not filed a claim. In the mean time the original bill, $519.00 had been increased to $648.00 for late charges and the billing company had advised the Fire Department that the account was a bad debt? They had turned it over to another collection agency in Michigan. I went to the Fire Department in Southaven and advised them AGAIN of the problem and that if the matter was not resolved to my satisfaction within 10 days that I would notify the media, Credit Bureau and any other organization to get the matter resolved. Blue Cross mailed ME a check a few days later. The Fire Department wanted me to call this billing company and they would take the money on line. I told them that I would NEVER consider doing this that I was THRU doing business with this company and the Southaven Fire Department. I stated that if I should every need ambulance service again that I would call a cab. Southaven Fire Department accepted a personal check from me and this horror story is over, I hope. It appears to me that Credit Bureau Systems Inc in Paducah, Ky, was trying to put me into a bad debt situation so that they could sell the $648.00 account to some collection agency. This was a horrible nightmare that I simply couldn't get to go away because, in my opinion, they didn't want it to go away. A.G. Loyd

Mr. J. D. Williams, a supervisor at the Paducah, Ky office is the most rude individual I have ever spoken to in my life. I ask what address they had been sending my bills to and he asked me my address. Well if I had given him my address, do you think he would have admitted had he been wrong? Of course not so I then asked him again to tell me what address they were using. In such hateful anger he replied " When I ask you a question you will answer me!" What? I am not in the military, Mr. Willaims. You are the most rude, hateful man I have ever talked to in my life! The conversation went down hill from that. I am glad the call was recorded, I have evidence of his unprofessionalism. Believe me, the hospital you represent and your supervisor will be hearing from me. If their clients have an unsuccessful history of debt collecting, he could very well be the reason why. Oh my goodness, I hope he loses his job.
